Pizza
A generic pizza from google |
My friends & I have been playing Skyrim lately & recently they've been introducing me to mods, which is great because now I can be upset over bone meal pizza mods, glow dust pizza, bear claw pizza, I mean for creativity sake if you can bee's & troll fat why not put them on a pizza? I mean if there's a mod where the dragons are turned into Thomas the Tank Engine why not have one for really weird pizza flavors?
In short the media has a poor representation of pizza & it is vastly unappreciated. Also Skyrim should have pizza mods.

Media Over the Break
Over the break my media usage was something like: scroll through Facebook, check Tumblr briefly, while talking with people over Skype & Facebook.
I also re read the amazing Throne of Glass series which is about an assassin & a prince & someone is really a queen of a country thats been destroyed but that's spoilers. Its a good read but a long series & i reread it since the title for the fifth book was released. The intention was to make it last until the book itself released but somehow it didnt work.

Story Game(s)
So one of the things I find interesting, now that my friends have gotten me into games, is that there are games that are stories and the story progresses by what you say or choose to do. By which I mean your character is given a dialogue option when talking to another character & based on which option you choose the story progresses.
This is the main layout for the entire game |
One of the potential photos you can earn through purchasing story lines. |
I downloaded one out of curiosity & found that it basically tells like a story with three different possible endings for each character you choose. Of course being a game there are other options, dressing up the avatars & such but the main part of it was reading the story & choosing options to get closer to an ending.
Throughout the story different pictures of the avatars can be earned through purchasing things to progress the story. A way for the game to discreetly get money, a pay to play if you will, in which the game makes the player want to pay money to get the desired photo and ending. I thought it was a clever layout for the company to get money & the players to choose different stories. As a story it was enjoyable enough & the artwork is really good for it but there weren't many options to choose from as far as dialogue, mostly the story was set in motion & you choose which path to take at the end of each chapter.

Murderous Water Horses (In Addition This Is A Post About My Love of Maggie Stiefvater)
So the very first book I read by the amazing author Maggie Stiefvater was The Scorpio Races. The book was recommended to me by my little sister, who somewhat shares my love of all things fantastical & well-written.
The Scorpio Races is very well-written, set in Thisby, a town that runs mostly on fishing we get to know two very different characters. Sean Kendrick, a quiet stable boy who takes care of horses & Kate "Puck" Connolly, a fisherman's daughter who is outspoken but also polite...to a point.
Thisby has an interesting tradition. The first of November marks the start of the Scorpio Races, a race of death, survival, & possibly lots of money- if you win.
The Scorpio Races are all about capturing or buying one of the capall uisce (copple ooshka) & racing it along the beach against the water horses to win. The problem lies in the capall uisce being murderous horses that come from the sea, they drink blood & kill cattle every November when they rise from the sea. If you can train them & ride them you can enter the Races.
Sean Kendrick has been a part of the Races since he was ten & his father died racing a red capall uisce he had caught. Since then Sean raced Corr, the very same horse, in every race along the sea's edge. & in every race he has won as the other horses hear the call of the sea & long to race into it, dragging their riders down with them, but Sean Kendrick is as much a part of the races & Corr as they are of him.
Puck Connolly is different, as a girl she's automatically discouraged from participating the races, but her house will be sold if she doesn't do something. She enlists Sean's help & with her small pony Dove enters the races as the first girl & the first with a horse that isn't one of the capall uisce.
It's definitely a book I recommend reading & remains of my favorites. Although I may be biased as I have a love of Maggie Stiefvaters' work & continue to be on the edge of my seat as I enter into a world she's created.

Post 1
This is the first time I've made a blog that's not tumblr & I honestly have no idea what I'm doing.
I watch Anime but also Dan & Phil (danisnotonfire & AmazingPhil) & crime shows on TV. I read all the books.
Here is a video where Dan falls off his chair.
